A Blast From the Past
Nate Wimberley from Channel 3 came to the BBQ on Wednesday, September 10, and talked with members of the team. The story aired on Hometown Sports on WBTV Channel 3 on September 11, 2003. Thank you WBTV and all of our local newspapers for their support and encouragement following our trip to the JR Olympics. This year, we were mentioned on WBTV...someone must have called it in. Greece isn't the only place Gold Medals were awarded! Thank you to Eileen Walsh of the Lenoir News Topic for her article and picture. Also, thank you to Beth Teague of Our State Magazine for Cloggin & Cue. SCC and Sims BBQ was recognized across the state for our food and dancing!
The Sims Country Cloggers and Sims BBQ are featured in the November 2005 issue of OUR STATE MAGAZINE in the article "Cloggin & Cue." Make sure to get your copy! Several of the cloggers were interviewed and photographers and reporters came to get up close with our team! Thank you to Beth Teague of Our State Magazine and Photographer Denise Clay for your time on this project.
SCC and the BBQ were also be featured on UNCTV's Weekend Traveler. Thanks to John Litschke for coming and filming for the show!

Thank you for everything. I really appreciate your hard work and dedication. I was a little nervous, but I had fun. We all had fun! There is such a beauty and energy in clogging that you do not find in other types of dancing. I long for speed and new steps. I look forward to a new season. Working with the other class was good for us. It gave us something to work toward and it was nice to get to know the group. We believe that our two crews worked well together. We are ready to kick it up another gear. Bring it on!
